Building a strong brain includes understanding feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. It also means learning skills and strategies to cope through difficult times. Through simple actions you can expand your mind, build resilience and create a healthy growth mindset.

 

There are many activities you can do that will help you Expand Your Mind. Here are some simple ideas:  

  • learning something new

  • being kind to yourself and others; one way is to use positive affirmations

  • read or listen to a book or podcast

  • listen to music or playing a musical instrument

  • be creative through arts or crafts, journaling, dance/movement

  • practicing gratitude and have a good laugh!

One strategy is to practice gratitude. Gratitude is an emotion expressing appreciation for what you have.  Practicing gratitude can increase happiness and help improve mental well-being.

Example: I am grateful for my school, fruit in my lunch, my home, my friends.
